Senior Frontend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of frontend development for Bridge’s critical core application.

• Implement new features and resolve intricate bugs.

• Upgrade outdated frontend code.

• Collaborate on the architecture of projects.

• Manage microfrontend frameworks across over 20 production applications.

• Lead initiatives with cross-functional teams.

• Partner with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to roll out features.

• Create frontends in React and TypeScript utilizing React 19 and legacy React/JavaScript as necessary.

• Design and sustain shared components and locale-aware interfaces.

• Ensure accessibility by implementing semantic HTML, keyboard support, screen-reader compatibility, and WCAG conformance.

• Leverage TanStack Query, React Context, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, MSW, and Storybook.

• Track frontend performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals.

• Integrate with Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin Spring Boot, databases, messaging, and search services.

• Engage in CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure, and team processes using GitHub Actions, Datadog, Terraform, SAFe, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Google Workspace.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive/senior frontend engineering experience.

• In-depth, production-tested experience with React and TypeScript.

• Strong foundation in frontend principles.

• Experience in creating accessible interfaces that meet WCAG standards.

• Capability to navigate and modernize large, under-documented legacy codebases.

• Ability to comprehend high-level architecture and connect legacy logic with modern services.

• Experience in various technology stacks.

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, Apache Pulsar, Debezium, AWS Neptune, AWS OpenSearch, GitHub Actions, Datadog, Terraform, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Google Workspace.

• Proven ability to collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend engineers.

• Clear communication skills and comfort with constructive technical feedback.

• Experience with microfrontend or module-federation is a plus.

• Knowledge of Rails or JVM is a plus.

• Depth in Terraform and CI/CD is a plus.

• Experience with graph or search infrastructure is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agents is a plus.
