This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assume responsibility for frontend development on Bridge’s primary product.
• Update and sustain a significant, mission-critical legacy application.
• Strategically plan and drive feature development.
• Release new features and resolve intricate bugs.
• Collaborate on project architecture.
• Manage microfrontend frameworks across more than 20 production applications.
• Lead initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to implement features.
• Develop frontends using React and TypeScript with shared component libraries.
• Create tested, accessible, internationalized, and high-performance user interfaces.
• Track real-user frontend metrics, including Core Web Vitals.
• Integrate with backend and data systems without ownership.
• Extensive/senior frontend engineering experience.
• In-depth, production-proven expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Strong foundational knowledge in frontend development.
• Experience in creating accessible applications that meet WCAG standards.
• Capability to work independently within large, under-documented legacy codebases.
• Ability to comprehend high-level architecture and link legacy logic with modern services.
• Experience across various technology stacks.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with Java/Kotlin Spring Boot REST services.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL on AWS Aurora.
• Familiarity with Apache Pulsar and Debezium-based ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS Neptune and AWS OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Datadog, Terraform, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Experience with microfrontends or module federation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Rails or JVM is a plus.
• Proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD is a plus.
• Experience with graph or search infrastructure is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agents, such as Claude Code, is a plus.
• Genuine autonomy with no micro-management.
