Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the React and Tailwind design system.

• Take ownership of frontend performance in Next.js 16, focusing on rendering strategies, bundle sizes, and real-world connection performance.

• Create accessible frontend experiences by prioritizing accessibility as a fundamental aspect.

• Construct the Node.js layer utilizing Express.js or Nest.js to bridge the UI and backend services.

• Implement Redis for caching where suitable.

• Advocate for clean code practices and automated testing.

• Exchange technical knowledge with team members.

• Guide coding agents in daily tasks by directing their efforts, reviewing their work, and resolving any issues.

• Collaborate with software architects, product owners, and fellow developers through code reviews, pair programming, and making technical decisions.

• Contribute to defining service boundaries, AI-agent workflows, and engineering standards within an AI-native architecture.

• Engage in a three-step hiring process, which includes an on-site team interview.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in production frontend development utilizing React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• In-depth understanding of Tailwind CSS.

• Experience managing client-side state using Zustand.

• Proficient in writing unit and component tests using Vitest.

• Skilled in writing end-to-end tests with Playwright.

• Comfortable with Node.js, Express.js, or Nest.js.

• Experience working with APIs from a microservices backend.

• Familiarity with agile teams operating under Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

• Strong written communication skills.

• Proficient in English.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous but not a requirement.
