Senior FP&A and Reporting Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare monthly management accounts along with KPI reporting.

• Assist in the month-end closing process, which includes accruals, journal entries, and reconciliation tasks.

• Generate variance analysis comparing actual results, budget, forecasts, and prior-year data.

• Take ownership of and maintain Excel-based budgeting and forecasting models.

• Enhance and uphold an integrated three-way financial model that encompasses profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.

• Develop and sustain models for forecasting, scenario planning, and conducting sensitivity analysis.

• Oversee group and multi-entity consolidation, along with consolidated reporting using Syft Analytics, ensuring outputs reconcile with Xero data.

• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and management support for decision-making, including pricing, cost assessment, and ROI analysis.

• Maintain and improve BI reporting while creating Power BI dashboards.

• Utilize Power BI to model data and establish connections to Xero, Excel, and data warehouse sources.

• Streamline and automate reporting processes.

• Serve as the finance point of contact for designated business areas, translating financial information for non-finance stakeholders.

• Collaborate across various functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required at the position level.


⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a finance role focused on reporting is required.

• A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.

• A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements is essential.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling are crucial, including the ability to create and maintain complex models and an integrated three-way financial model covering profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.

• Proficiency in working with large datasets and utilizing Excel functions such as lookups, pivot tables, and dynamic formulas for automating analysis is necessary.

• Proven experience with Power BI is essential, including dashboard creation, data modeling, Power Query, DAX, and the ability to publish or share reports.

• Experience with Xero is essential, or substantial experience with a comparable cloud accounting platform along with the capability to quickly become proficient in Xero.

• Familiarity with Syft Analytics or a similar consolidation and reporting tool is desirable.

• Experience in a small or lean finance team, SME, or scaling environment is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a high level of attention to detail, are essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders, are required.

• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and effectively manage deadlines is crucial.

• Capability to build models, reporting, and processes from scratch, and operate effectively in the absence of established procedures is essential.

• Strong collaborative skills and confidence in working across finance and non-finance teams are critical.

• Familiarity with AI tools for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting is desirable.

• Knowledge of EPM or financial planning tools, SQL or other data tools, and Python or other finance automation tools is a plus.

• Experience in automating or transforming reporting processes, or establishing reporting or finance processes within a growing business, is highly regarded.
