Senior FP&A Analyst, Cloud Hosting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and report on expenses related to cloud and AI, ensuring forecast models reflect actual results, usage metrics, and business drivers.

• Perform regular month-end closing tasks, which include accruals, allocations, reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparing closing commentary.

• Assist in forecasting and annual planning processes.

• Develop or refine financial models to address new and changing business inquiries.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, procurement, accounting, and finance teams to gather information, address data queries, clarify results, and aid in spending decisions.

• Examine cloud billing data from provider dashboards, billing exports, and other data sources.

• Convert findings into narratives, recommendations, and materials that support decision-making.

• Utilize AI tools to automate and enhance ongoing analysis, reporting, data preparation, and finance processes.

• Take ownership of deliverables, proactively communicate progress and risks, and manage shifting priorities in a distributed, asynchronous setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or finance business partnering, with experience in vendor spending, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end closing tasks.

• Strong skills in financial modeling and analysis, including experience with detailed data, investigating variances, assessing financial trade-offs, and building or refining models from scratch.

• Capability to convey complex financial and operational data into clear narratives and recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.

• Proficient in prioritizing tasks effectively, working independently, and communicating clearly in an asynchronous environment.

• Familiarity with cloud and AI vendor spending.

• Experience in cloud cost management and FinOps is preferred but not mandatory.
