This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee the organization-wide FP&A schedule, financial consolidations, and the creation of financial narratives for forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans.
• Organize and manage planning timelines, deliverables, assumptions, and engagement with stakeholders across Finance and business units.
• Prepare financial reviews for executives, materials for the Board, and reporting packages for leadership.
• Collaborate with the VP of FP&A and the FP&A Leadership Team to execute planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Assist in G&A financial planning, financial closing, reporting, and analytics.
• Work with IT and business teams to improve financial planning, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to minimize manual processes, eliminate redundancies, and enhance the efficiency of financial planning.
• Support enhancements in finance systems, automation projects, integrations, and technological modernization.
• Design and refine scalable P&L financial models that facilitate scenario planning and business forecasting.
• Foster collaborative relationships across Finance and business functions to boost financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Clearly present financial outcomes and business insights to Finance leadership and the SMPA parent organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field.
• 8–12 years of pertinent experience without a Master’s degree, or 6–8 years with a Master’s degree.
• Relevant experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Proven FP&A experience, encompassing financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and P&L consolidation.
• Advanced proficiency in Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SAP and Oracle financial systems.
• Experience in finance system enhancements, integrations, and/or implementations.
• Understanding of SAP master data and the data structures of financial planning tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
