This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Take ownership of technical delivery for intricate customer accounts, overseeing everything from deployment to scaled daily usage.
• Spearhead deployments across hybrid environments, which include cloud, on-premises, Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and related infrastructure.
• Establish solution architecture for clients with complex data estates, security requirements, and business objectives.
• Modify platform behavior when standard configurations do not align with customer data, workflows, or risk models.
• Develop and manage integrations across identity systems, SIEM, ITSM, data platforms, APIs, and downstream tools.
• Identify and resolve intricate technical issues across data, deployment, infrastructure, and integration layers.
• Create reusable agents, automation, tools, and playbooks for the broader Forward Deployed Engineering team.
• Transform manual customer outcomes into repeatable workflows for remediation, alerting, reporting, and operational follow-up.
• Facilitate architecture and design discussions with customer executives, security and privacy leaders, business teams, and engineers.
• Guide other Forward Deployed Engineers by reviewing solutions, sharing best practices, and removing obstacles to complex technical tasks.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product, and Engineering on strategic proofs of concept, customer escalations, and product feedback.
• 8–12+ years of experience in highly technical, customer-facing positions, such as forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, platform engineering, or technical consulting.
• Proficient in software engineering with strong skills in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Capability to read unfamiliar code and quickly grasp complex systems.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proven experience in deploying and managing solutions in intricate cloud, hybrid, and on-premises enterprise environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of APIs, system integration, SQL/NoSQL data stores, and both structured and unstructured data.
• Experience in developing practical technical solutions, including data pipelines, custom classifiers, integrations, automation, agents, or internal tools.
• Strong proficiency with AI-native developer tools, agents, and automation, including the creation of reusable workflows.
• Strong presence with customers and the ability to build trust with executives, business leaders, and engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of data security, privacy, and regulatory issues across various industries and regions.
• High sense of ownership, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to bring structure to complex problems without a clear playbook.
• Bonus: experience with DSPM, CSPM, DLP, data governance, privacy platforms, AI agents, agentic coding assistants, MCP, RAG systems, GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, access control, encryption, masking, or mentoring senior technical contributors.
