Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete technical delivery for enterprise healthcare client projects, encompassing pre-sales demonstrations, requirements gathering, solution design, integration, implementation, and post-launch support.

• Design and implement production-grade AI agent systems that integrate with EHR/EMR platforms, claims systems, specialty pharmacy infrastructures, and CRMs.

• Conduct technical working sessions and present solutions to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.

• Make autonomous decisions regarding system design, technology choices, integration strategies, and technical troubleshooting.

• Develop reliable and scalable production applications and integrations utilizing modern programming languages, cloud infrastructure, and AI technologies.

• Create data pipelines and ingestion systems that process both structured and unstructured healthcare data, supporting machine learning workflows while adhering to privacy and security standards.

• Convert deployment insights into reusable components, platform enhancements, and product features.

• Ensure the technical quality, reliability, and business impact of multimillion-dollar enterprise projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–15 years of experience in software engineering.

• Robust background in building and delivering production software systems.

• Proven experience in managing the full technical delivery for enterprise clients, covering pre-sales support, requirements gathering, solution scoping, implementation, integration, and post-launch support.

• Experience in building and deploying customer-facing software systems end-to-end through production engineering, solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.

• Expertise in healthcare or life sciences domains, especially in patient services, specialty pharmacy, pharmacovigilance, clinical operations, health insurance, or HIPAA-related compliance.

• Capacity to design comprehensive end-to-end system architectures and create clear architecture diagrams.

• Strong client-facing communication skills and a professional demeanor.

• Capability to lead technical sessions and present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Next.js, and React.

• Experience in building data and machine learning pipelines, encompassing ETL/ELT workflows, document ingestion, unstructured data processing, PySpark, or predictive modeling.

• Experience in deploying production applications and managing cloud infrastructures using AWS, GCP, or similar platforms.

• Ability to work autonomously, navigate uncertainty, make decisions under pressure, and take responsibility for complex client projects.

• Must have existing authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship or transfer.

• Bonus: Experience as a founding engineer, startup co-founder, startup CTO, or software engineer at a high-growth startup.

• Bonus: Experience in building and deploying LLM-powered systems or AI agents, encompassing prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, guardrails, and observability.

• Bonus: Formal machine learning or internal data science experience on healthcare-related projects.

• Bonus: Experience integrating AI systems with EHR/EMR platforms, claims infrastructure, specialty pharmacy systems, healthcare CRMs, or other enterprise healthcare applications.

• Bonus: Experience in building scalable data infrastructure, ETL/ELT pipelines, and document-processing workflows.

• Bonus: Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, WebSockets, vector stores, LLM orchestration, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
