Industrial Engineer Consultant – Planning & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a recognized technical expert for systems involved in logistics, shipping, warehousing, and material-handling operations, which include conveyors, sortation systems, automated equipment, trailers, dock equipment, and packaging machinery.

• Create and enhance intricate engineering models, methodologies, and procedures that support equipment selection, deployment, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle optimization.

• Propose and implement scalable solutions that enhance throughput, operational performance, asset uptime, safety, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

• Establish methods for new or unclear engineering tasks using advanced analysis and professional judgment.

• Assess vendor designs, technical proposals, and equipment performance against specifications, safety standards, and business objectives.

• Foster strategic relationships with material-handling manufacturers to assess emerging technologies.

• Prepare detailed project estimates for capital expenditure planning.

• Align engineering efforts with departmental objectives, capital plans, and overarching business strategies.

• Convert complex technical ideas into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

• Oversee complex engineering projects and influence cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of pertinent experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

• In-depth knowledge of industrial engineering, preferably in logistics, shipping, or manufacturing sectors.

• Advanced expertise in industrial engineering systems design, analytics, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.

• Strong comprehension of the interconnections between mechanical systems, operations, safety, and business performance.

• Proficient knowledge of CAD software and simulation tools.
