Senior Firmware Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design innovative security systems that safeguard buildings and businesses on a global scale.

• Lead architectural decisions for essential firmware components.

• Shape hardware design, communication protocols, and cybersecurity practices across various product lines.

• Incorporate advanced cybersecurity features into embedded devices.

• Improve secure firmware update processes and bootloader mechanisms.

• Enhance performance of embedded systems.

• Develop product platforms that are utilized across multiple devices.

• Address real-time challenges within RTOS environments.

• Implement application programming interfaces (APIs).

• Define integration logic for the Everon product family, ensuring compliance with EN50131 Grade 3 standards.

• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure solution quality through debugging and bug resolution.

• Assist in verification, validation, certification, and production processes.

• Work closely with teams in Product Management, Hardware, Compliance, and Cybersecurity.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and internal development guidelines.

• Collaborate with global engineering teams across different time zones.

• Mentor junior engineers and engage in technology strategy and roadmap planning.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Embedded C programming.

• Background in cybersecurity.

• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.

• Familiarity with RTOS and bare-metal development.

• Experience in debugging embedded systems.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience with secure boot or secure firmware updates is a plus.

• Familiarity with RF/sub-GHz systems is desirable.

• Background in EN50131 or the security industry is advantageous.

• Experience with embedded Linux, SWD/JTAG, RS485, Ethernet, GSM, cryptography, and CI/CD processes for embedded systems.

• Willingness to relocate to Gdańsk, Poland.
