Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive fire sprinkler system designs and layout drawings utilizing HydraCAD Software.

• Conduct hydraulic calculations and material take-offs in alignment with NFPA standards and local regulations.

• Examine architectural, structural, and mechanical plans to guarantee proper system integration.

• Generate submittals, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation.

• Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to ensure design intent and code compliance are met.

• Guide junior designers and offer technical support when necessary.

• Remain informed on updates to fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and IFC.

• Engage in project meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and AHJs.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5–10 years of experience in fire sprinkler or fire protection design.

• Skilled in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, and/or Revit.

• Extensive knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, and other relevant standards.

• Strong grasp of building and fire codes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently and handle multiple design projects.
