Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee month-end closing processes, which include reconciliations, intercompany accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet assessments.

• Lead the consolidation of multi-currency financials, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the consolidated financial outcomes.

• Assist in the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, collaborating closely with department leaders to comprehend spending patterns and business drivers.

• Evaluate monthly operating expenses, identify trends, risks, and variances, and deliver actionable insights to management.

• Conduct thorough revenue and deferred revenue analyses, incorporating pertinent SaaS metrics.

• Aid in financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP / IFRS, ensuring the correct accounting treatment is applied.

• Oversee and support SOX controls and testing, guaranteeing proper documentation and readiness for audits.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to grasp business drivers and address financial reporting challenges.

• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and improved reporting efficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• CA or CPA qualification – essential.

• 7–9 years of pertinent experience in financial reporting, accounting, FP&A, or controllership.

• Extensive experience in month-end closing, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial analysis.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.

• Availability to work evening shifts and occasional night shifts during month-end closing or as needed.

• Advanced skills in Excel and financial reporting.

• Ability to work autonomously with global stakeholders in a remote setting.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Experience in a SaaS or technology company.

• Practical experience with SOX controls and SOX testing.

• Experience in leading automation or finance transformation initiatives.

• Familiarity with revenue and deferred revenue accounting and SaaS metrics.
