Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Report to the Director of Finance

• Implement the monthly actualization process, which includes P&L variance analyses, insights, and resolution of issues

• Assist in monthly forecasting and provide explanations for financial performance over an 18-month rolling period

• Contribute to the development of the annual budget and strategic plan

• Analyze intricate financial data to identify trends, evaluate risks, and discover opportunities

• Provide actionable recommendations to business leaders

• Work in collaboration with R&D, operations, and logistics teams to incorporate financial insights into strategic decisions

• Assess, model, and financialize initiatives aimed at labor efficiencies, strategic sourcing, and equipment productivity

• Calculate potential savings and ROI related to productivity initiatives

• Identify critical issues and weaknesses, offering solutions for improvement

• Oversee the implementation of system enhancements

• Manage cross-functional integration aligned with the company's business planning calendar

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, set objectives, develop plans, conduct analyses, and measure outcomes

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or a similar field

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with clarity and conciseness

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Capability to utilize and maintain complex financial models

• Knowledge of financial and management accounting principles

• Experience in supporting a CPG or manufacturing business is preferred

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with commercial and operations teams is preferred

• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning tools is preferred

• MBA or CPA designation is a plus
