Senior Finance Analyst, LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assess and enhance the local accounting framework across LATAM entities, including both external accounting firms and the internal analyst.

• Guarantee precision in invoicing, reconciliations, and daily accounting functions.

• Establish financial controls, such as banking mandates, approval processes, cash flow monitoring and forecasting, and validation of partner banking information.

• Collaborate with the Global Market Lead and country heads regarding P&Ls, deal pipelines, and profitability.

• Identify underperforming deals and suggest corrective measures.

• Act as the primary contact for finance-related inquiries in LATAM, including Mexico and Colombia.

• Offer financial insights into commercial decisions like pricing, payment terms, and carrier commissions.

• Oversee local budgeting and forecasting, encompassing annual budget planning and ongoing revenue, cost, and cash forecasts.

• Cultivate relationships with external accounting providers, evaluating their quality, cost, and scalability.

• Renegotiate or replace external accounting providers as necessary.

• Work alongside internal teams to address partner invoicing and payment challenges.

• Manage partner credit limits and prepayment arrangements when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Seasoned finance professional with experience in accounting, controlling, and financial operations.

• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and local tax/compliance regulations across LATAM.

• Familiarity with MRFS, NIF, and IFRS standards.

• Strong FP&A capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability assessment.

• Expertise in Excel or Google Sheets, featuring advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis skills.

• Comfortable functioning as a senior leader while also being a hands-on contributor, capable of creating structure from the ground up.

• Experience in managing external providers.

• Proficient in English as well as Spanish and/or Portuguese.

• Nice to have: Experience with group reporting under IFRS.

• Nice to have: Experience with ERP systems like DATEV, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.

• Nice to have: Background in tech or marketplace enterprises.
