This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile, +1 more country.
• Evaluate and enhance the local accounting framework across LATAM entities, collaborating with both external accounting firms and internal analysts.
• Ensure precision in invoicing, reconciliations, and daily accounting operations.
• Establish financial controls, including banking mandates, approval processes, cash flow monitoring and forecasting, as well as the validation of partner banking information.
• Collaborate with the Global Market Lead and country heads on P&L statements, deal pipelines, and profitability metrics.
• Identify underperforming deals and recommend corrective measures.
• Act as the primary contact for finance-related inquiries in the region, specifically in Mexico and Colombia.
• Provide financial insights to inform commercial decisions such as pricing strategies, payment terms, and carrier commissions.
• Oversee local budgeting and forecasting efforts, including annual budget planning and dynamic revenue, cost, and cash forecasts.
• Cultivate relationships with external accounting providers, evaluating their quality, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
• Renegotiate or replace external accounting providers as necessary.
• Work alongside internal teams to address partner invoicing and payment challenges.
• Manage partner credit limits and prepayment arrangements as required.
• Seasoned finance professional with experience in accounting, controlling, and financial operations.
• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and local tax/compliance regulations across LATAM.
• Familiar with MRFS, NIF, and IFRS standards.
• Strong FP&A capabilities, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.
• Comfortable functioning as both a senior leader and a hands-on contributor.
• Proven experience in establishing structure from the ground up and managing external service providers.
• Fluent in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese.
• Experience with group reporting under IFRS is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as DATEV, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
