Senior Finance Analyst, APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive finance operations across the APAC region, starting with a focus on Vietnam and Indonesia.

• Oversee accounting, invoicing, settlement, reconciliation, banking, and payments.

• Evaluate and enhance local accounting processes with external providers.

• Assist in the selection, negotiation, onboarding, and transition of accounting service providers.

• Manage local banking partnerships and financing activities for the entities.

• Coordinate documentation, banking procedures, regulatory registrations, and financial reporting.

• Aid in monthly financial reporting and P&L analysis across the APAC region.

• Identify trends, variances, and risks while providing insights to management and business teams.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

• Act as the finance point of contact for APAC partners.

• Handle complex or urgent finance matters and ensure timely resolutions.

• Enhance billing, reconciliation, and payment workflows in collaboration with Finance, Product, and Tech teams.

• Support the financial setup for new partners, markets, and entities.

• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and adapt to evolving business priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in finance.

• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial operations.

• Practical experience with month-end closing, invoicing, payments, settlements, reconciliations, and financial controls.

• Familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS standards.

• Experience collaborating with external accountants and tax advisors across APAC markets.

• Competency in reviewing and challenging the work of external providers, driving topics to conclusion independently.

• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with complex formulas and data analysis.

• Knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, and AI tools.

• Interest in technology and automation within finance processes and analysis.

• Strong skills in business partnering and stakeholder management.

• Confidence in engaging directly with partners, banks, and service providers.

• Fluency in English and Vietnamese is mandatory.

• Experience with Big 4 firms or audit background is a plus.

• Familiarity with Payment Service Providers, banking, or payment operations is advantageous.

• Experience in technology, marketplace, e-commerce, travel, or transaction-heavy businesses is beneficial.

• Exposure to group reporting and experience with European or international headquarters is a plus.
