This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Form’s battery systems.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Conduct software and firmware updates, as well as configure networking systems.
• Implement commissioning and testing plans to evaluate the performance and functionality of battery systems.
• Provide emergency response support at project locations to reduce plant downtime.
• Lead performance testing, gather data, share findings, and document results to enhance product performance.
• Ensure the upkeep of company tools, vehicles, equipment, instrumentation, and maintain a safe working environment at project sites.
• Collaborate with project engineering, deployment teams, and engineers.
• Travel up to 90% domestically to client or project sites.
• Over 7 years of advanced technical field experience with high-powered equipment, ideally with utility-scale energy storage systems.
• Proficiency in complex systems integration, including high-voltage troubleshooting, control circuit diagnostics, and industrial communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet).
• Capability to interpret and execute intricate electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Expertise with high-voltage instrumentation, such as power electronics, meggers, and amp clamps.
• Experience working with mechanical subsystems, including pumps, tanks, piping, and torque/termination standards.
• Extensive background in risk assessment and heavy construction environments.
• Ability to wear heavy personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods, including CAT 2 or CAT 4 gear, steel-toed boots, face shields, and chemical suits.
• Competence in maintaining technical documentation and asset management using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% domestically, work on weekends/holidays, and be available on-call.
