This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
• Carry out medium- to high-complexity service tasks in accordance with work instructions and ABB standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities within the installed base to enhance system and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ABB HSE, ABB Way, Safety Manual, and Safety policies during all work activities.
• Implement projects hands-on, which includes startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment and controls.
• Oversee outages in collaboration with field engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Undertake project management responsibilities and lead-site/project-manager roles as necessary.
• Compose technical reports, procure materials, obtain quotations, prepare job status and customer reports, complete timesheets and expense reports, and conduct cost-control activities.
• Plan, organize, and execute multifunctional field assignments.
• Supervise the work of field engineers and craft labor as required.
• Enhance and broaden technical expertise in alignment with industry engineering standards.
• Organize, prepare, and/or deliver internal and external training programs.
• High School Diploma or GED with over 5 years of relevant experience.
• Technical proficiency in testing power distribution and delivery systems, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays, and Transformers.
• Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers, including those from Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays.
• Familiarity with testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines, including excitation systems, control systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers, is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 75% of the time.
• Understanding of the industrial customer base within the geographical area.
• Must possess work authorization that allows employment with ABB in the US; ABB is unable to sponsor an employment visa.
