This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Educate and support STRYDE’s clients in utilizing STRYDE systems for the planning, management, and monitoring of field surveys.
• Assist clients in the setup and operation of land seismic acquisition equipment.
• Support customers with equipment testing and verify that products are functioning within specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, offering both in-field and remote assistance to clients.
• Evaluate and validate new hardware and software technologies prior to field deployment.
• Design and implement field tests for innovative technology.
• Collect feedback for future product enhancements and functionalities from clients.
• Conduct product demonstrations and field trials for prospective customers.
• Frequently travel to field locations for extended periods.
• Serve as STRYDE's representative as an equipment supplier within the onshore seismic sector.
• Preferred qualifications include Engineering, Geophysics, or IT-related fields.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support role for land seismic crews or instrumentation support.
• Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
• Extensive background in onshore seismic acquisition.
• Strong knowledge in setting up and operating land seismic recording equipment, ideally nodal systems.
• In-depth experience with central system software packages.
• Familiarity with onshore source technologies, such as vibroseis, explosive, impulsive sources, and associated controllers.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of troubleshooting complex system issues to identify root causes.
• Competence in providing training to seismic acquisition personnel.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight from the office.
• Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice.
• Proficient and field-experienced Instrument Support Technician.
