Senior Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing of relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motor control equipment, and related switchgear in the field, including synch check and point-to-point testing.

• Lead a team in field testing, maintenance, and repair of breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control, and associated equipment.

• Ensure thorough preparation and documentation for site projects.

• Assist in assessing departmental talent, identifying training requirements, and suggesting action plans.

• Determine and secure necessary equipment for both shop and field operations.

• Provide daily site summaries in collaboration with the designated project manager.

• Deliver weekly production status reports to project management, operations managers, and Service Assistant.

• Maintain a strong understanding of the technical aspects related to the company’s core business needs.

• Participate in and contribute to project kickoff meetings.

• Support adherence to project budgets.

• Continuously instruct and mentor others.

• Assist sales efforts by providing labor estimates and participating in job walks when required.

• Stay updated on all safety and technical training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in power plants, industrial services, primary power distribution, and associated protection and control schemes.

• At least 4 years of experience in industrial or commercial power systems.

• High School Diploma.

• Reference and complete assignments as outlined in applicable specifications.

• Capability to perform routine fieldwork both indoors and outdoors.

• Proficient in reading company manuals, reports, workplace rules, and procedures.

• Ability to communicate with poise and confidence, using proper English.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, business acumen, and management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

• Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
