This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Stay updated on both local and national payer policies as well as acquisition pathways.
• Proactively tackle coverage and reimbursement challenges to facilitate timely access to treatment.
• Collaborate with Therapeutic Specialists, Marketing, Patient Support, and other internal departments.
• Build and maintain relationships with providers, specialty pharmacies, and other essential account stakeholders.
• Act as a regional reimbursement authority and identify key customer accounts to engage.
• Support the patient support program team in enhancing hub and FRM processes, including education on benefit verification and prior authorization.
• Relay any changes regarding formulary and reimbursement processes related to Gilead products.
• Develop educational materials for providers and office personnel on best practices for reimbursement.
• Enhance communication between FRMs and case managers by coordinating with the Gilead HUB.
• Identify bottlenecks in the patient journey and utilize technology tools to address high-need cases.
• Travel across assigned regions and strategic accounts.
• A Bachelor's Degree with eight years of experience OR a Master's Degree with six years of experience OR a Ph.D.
• Candidates should live within 10 miles of their region's borders.
• BA/BS/RN with over 8 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization, specifically in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or a related team.
• MA/MS/PharmD with over 6 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization in a field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or similar role.
• Previous leadership experience, as well as experience with enterprise accounts, IDN/health system, or cross-functional account strategies, is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payers, providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies regarding reimbursement and access.
• Proven experience in engaging and managing large, complex provider accounts, multi-location health systems, IDNs, national/regional accounts, and/or accounts that span multiple states or regions.
• Understanding of pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, specialty payer landscapes, reimbursement pathways, and acquisition models across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer segments.
• Insight into local, state, and national policy changes and their impact on reimbursement, coverage, acquisition, and account workflows.
• Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies and HUB services.
• Ability to influence without formal authority, align diverse stakeholders, and translate account-level obstacles into scalable process enhancements.
• Strong executive presence with comfort in engaging C-suite or executive leadership, pharmacy directors, revenue cycle leaders, implementation leaders, and system stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time across designated regions and strategic accounts.
