This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Stay updated on local and national payer policies as well as acquisition pathways.
β’ Actively tackle coverage and reimbursement issues to guarantee timely access to treatments.
β’ Collaborate with Therapeutic Specialists, Marketing, Patient Support, and various internal teams.
β’ Build and maintain relationships with providers, specialty pharmacies, and other essential account stakeholders.
β’ Act as a regional reimbursement expert and utilize influence mapping to identify and engage key customer accounts.
β’ Enhance processes for hub and field reimbursement managers, including benefit verification and prior-authorization education.
β’ Communicate updates regarding formulary and reimbursement process changes for Gilead products.
β’ Develop instructional materials for providers and office staff focusing on reimbursement best practices.
β’ Foster better communication between field reimbursement managers and HUB case managers.
β’ Identify bottlenecks in the patient journey and employ technology tools to address high-need cases.
β’ Travel throughout the Southeast region and manage strategic accounts.
β’ Bachelor's Degree with eight years of experience, or a Master's Degree with six years of experience, or a Ph.D.
β’ Preferred: BA/BS/RN with over 8 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization focusing on field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or equivalent roles.
β’ Preferred: MA/MS/PharmD with more than 6 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or similar positions.
β’ Prior experience in leadership, enterprise account management, IDN/health system, or cross-functional account strategy is strongly preferred.
β’ Extensive knowledge of payers, providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies regarding reimbursement and access.
β’ Experience with complex provider accounts, multi-location health systems, IDNs, national/regional accounts, and/or accounts across multiple states or regions.
β’ Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, specialty payer landscapes, reimbursement pathways, and acquisition models across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer segments.
β’ Awareness of local, state, and national policy changes and their impact on reimbursement, coverage, acquisition, and account workflows.
β’ Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies and HUB services.
β’ Capability to influence without authority, align matrixed stakeholders, and convert account-level challenges into scalable process enhancements.
β’ Strong executive presence and comfort in engaging with executive leadership, pharmacy directors, revenue cycle leaders, implementation leaders, and system stakeholders.
β’ Willingness to travel 75% of the time within designated regions and strategic accounts.
β’ Must reside within 10 miles of the region's borders.
