πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Build and oversee strategic business relationships with key account stakeholders across major health systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), specialty pharmacies, national and regional accounts, as well as Priority and SWAT accounts.

β€’ Act as an enterprise-level expert in reimbursement and access.

β€’ Employ influence mapping to pinpoint executive, pharmacy, billing, implementation, provider, and operational stakeholders.

β€’ Direct coordinated, cross-regional account strategies for multi-site accounts.

β€’ Evaluate systemic barriers to access and reimbursement, including benefit verification, prior authorization, medical exceptions, claims, acquisition, specialty pharmacy, and Long-Acting Injectable (LAI) operational workflows.

β€’ Collaborate with senior account stakeholders and internal matrix teams to create and enhance scalable reimbursement processes.

β€’ Assist the internal patient support program team in improving HUB and Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) processes.

β€’ Relay updates regarding formulary changes, coverage, payer policies, and reimbursement processes.

β€’ Develop instructional materials, account implementation strategies, and best-practice educational resources.

β€’ Coordinate among FRMs, Long-Acting Implementation Directors, Strategic Account Managers, Prevention Specialists, Market Access, the Gilead HUB, Marketing, Patient Support, and other cross-functional partners.

β€’ Identify bottlenecks in the patient journey and utilize technological tools, insights, and escalation pathways to resolve high-need account situations.

β€’ Assess the effectiveness of education delivery, implementation success, systemic issue resolution, coordination, and scalable access and reimbursement support.

β€’ Foster inclusion, cultivate talent, and empower teams in a leadership role.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's Degree with eight years of experience, or a Master's Degree with six years of experience, or a Ph.D.

β€’ Experience with a major pharmaceutical company in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or a similar role.

β€’ Previous leadership experience, particularly in enterprise accounts, IDN/health systems, or cross-functional account strategies, is strongly preferred.

β€’ Profound understanding of payers, providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies in relation to reimbursement and access.

β€’ Experience engaging with and managing large, complex provider accounts, multi-location health systems, IDNs, national and regional accounts, and accounts across multiple states or regions.

β€’ Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, the specialty payer landscape, reimbursement pathways, and acquisition models across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer segments.

β€’ Awareness of local, state, and national policy changes and their impacts on reimbursement, coverage, acquisition, and account workflows.

β€’ Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies and HUB services to enhance account-specific workflows and patient access processes.

β€’ Capability to influence without direct authority, align stakeholders across matrices, and convert account-level barriers into scalable process enhancements.

β€’ Strong executive presence and comfort in engaging with C-suite or executive leadership, pharmacy directors, revenue cycle leaders, implementation leaders, and system stakeholders.

β€’ Willingness to travel 75% of the time within designated regions and strategic accounts.

β€’ Candidates are required to reside in or close to the assigned geography.

β€’ Ability to travel extensively and participate in in-person stakeholder meetings.
