
Senior Field Reimbursement Manager – HIV Prevention

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Establish and nurture strategic business relationships with key account stakeholders within large health systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), specialty pharmacies, national/regional accounts, and Priority/SWAT accounts
• Facilitate access for patients to Gilead’s HIV Prevention products
• Act as a reimbursement and access expert at the enterprise level
• Utilize influence mapping to pinpoint executive, pharmacy, billing, implementation, provider, and operational stakeholders
• Lead coordinated account strategies across various regions
• Minimize redundancy in efforts and enhance role clarity among local Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs) and matrix partners
• Evaluate systemic barriers to access and reimbursement, including benefit verification, prior authorization, medical exceptions, claims processing, acquisition, specialty pharmacy, and Long-Acting Injectable (LAI) operational workflows
• Collaborate with senior account stakeholders and internal teams to develop and refine scalable reimbursement processes
• Assist the internal patient support program team in improving HUB and FRM processes
• Relay updates regarding formulary changes, coverage, payer policies, and reimbursement processes
• Develop and implement instructional resources, account implementation plans, and best-practice training
• Coordinate efforts among FRMs, Long-Acting Implementation Directors, Strategic Account Managers, Prevention Specialists, Market Access, the Gilead HUB, Marketing, Patient Support, and other cross-functional collaborators
• Identify obstacles in the patient journey and leverage technology, insights, and escalation pathways to resolve high-need account situations
• Assess the effectiveness of education delivery, implementation success, resolution of systemic issues, coordination, and support for scalable access/reimbursement
• Tailor support to fit diverse account environments and practices
• Uphold a patient-centric and collaborative approach
• Bachelor's Degree with eight years of experience, or a Master's Degree with six years of experience, or a Ph.D.
• BA/BS/RN with over 8 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization in roles related to field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or similar teams
• MA/MS/PharmD with more than 6 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or comparable roles
• Previous experience in leadership, enterprise accounts, IDN/health system management, or cross-functional account strategy is strongly preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of payers, providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies concerning reimbursement and access
• Proven experience in engaging with and managing large, complex provider accounts, multi-location health systems, IDNs, national/regional accounts, and accounts across multiple states or regions
• Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, specialty payer landscapes, reimbursement pathways, and acquisition models across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer segments
• Awareness of local, state, and national policy changes and their impact on reimbursement, coverage, acquisition, and account workflows
• Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies and HUB services to optimize account-specific workflows and enhance patient access
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority, align stakeholders across matrices, and translate account-level barriers into scalable process improvements
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage C-suite executives, pharmacy directors, revenue cycle leaders, implementation leaders, and system stakeholders
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time across assigned regions and strategic accounts
• Candidates must reside in or near the designated geography and be available for extensive travel to engage account stakeholders in person
