This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Cultivate and oversee strategic business relationships with key account stakeholders within extensive health systems, IDNs, specialty pharmacies, national and regional accounts, as well as Priority/SWAT accounts.
β’ Act as an enterprise-level expert in reimbursement and access.
β’ Utilize influence mapping to pinpoint executive, pharmacy, billing, implementation, provider, and operational stakeholders.
β’ Lead coordinated, cross-regional account strategies to minimize redundancy and clarify roles.
β’ Evaluate systemic barriers to access and reimbursement, including benefit verification, prior authorization, medical exceptions, claims, acquisition, specialty pharmacy, and LAI operational workflows.
β’ Collaborate with senior account stakeholders and internal matrix teams to establish and enhance scalable reimbursement processes.
β’ Assist the internal patient support program team in improving HUB and FRM processes.
β’ Relay changes to formulary, coverage, payer policy, and reimbursement processes.
β’ Develop and implement instructional resources, account implementation plans, and best-practice educational materials.
β’ Coordinate efforts among FRMs, Long-Acting Implementation Directors, Strategic Account Managers, Prevention Specialists, Market Access, the Gilead HUB, Marketing, and Patient Support.
β’ Identify bottlenecks in the patient journey and employ technology tools, insights, and escalation pathways to address critical account situations.
β’ Assess the effectiveness of educational delivery, implementation success, resolution of systemic issues, coordination, and scalable access/reimbursement support.
β’ Exhibit cultural sensitivity while maintaining a patient-centric approach.
β’ A Bachelor's Degree with Eight Years of Experience, a Master's Degree with Six Years of Experience, or a Ph.D.
β’ BA/BS/RN with over 8 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization focusing on field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or similar roles.
β’ MA/MS/PharmD with over 6 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or a related capacity.
β’ Profound knowledge of payers, providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies in terms of reimbursement and access.
β’ Experience managing large, intricate provider accounts, multi-location health systems, IDNs, national/regional accounts, and/or accounts that span multiple states or regions.
β’ Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, the specialty payer landscape, reimbursement pathways, and acquisition models across various payer segments including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
β’ Understanding of local, state, and national policy shifts and their impact on reimbursement, coverage, acquisition, and account workflows.
β’ Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies and HUB services.
β’ Ability to influence without direct authority, align matrixed stakeholders, and convert account barriers into scalable process enhancements.
β’ Strong executive presence with the capability to engage with C-suite and executive leadership, pharmacy directors, revenue cycle leaders, implementation leaders, and system stakeholders.
β’ Willingness to travel 75% of the time across designated regions and strategic accounts.
