Senior Field Reimbursement Manager – HIV Prevention

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and oversee strategic business relationships with key stakeholders within large health systems, IDNs, specialty pharmacies, national/regional accounts, and Priority/SWAT accounts to ensure patient access to Gilead’s HIV Prevention products.

• Act as an enterprise-level expert in reimbursement and access, utilizing influence mapping to identify stakeholders within complex organizations.

• Direct cross-regional account strategies in collaboration with local FRMs and matrix partners.

• Evaluate systemic barriers to access and reimbursement, including benefit verification, prior authorization, medical exceptions, claims processing, acquisition, specialty pharmacy operations, and LAI workflows.

• Collaborate with senior account stakeholders and internal teams to create and optimize scalable reimbursement processes.

• Assist the internal patient support program team in improving HUB and FRM processes.

• Relay changes in formulary status, coverage, payer policies, and reimbursement processes to strategic accounts.

• Develop educational resources, account implementation strategies, and best-practice guidance for providers, office staff, billing teams, revenue cycle teams, and implementation stakeholders.

• Coordinate efforts among FRMs, Long-Acting Implementation Directors, Strategic Account Managers, Prevention Specialists, Market Access teams, Gilead HUB, Marketing, Patient Support, and other cross-functional partners.

• Identify obstacles in the patient journey and leverage technology, insights, and escalation pathways to address urgent account situations.

• Assess the effectiveness of education delivery, implementation outcomes, resolution of systemic issues, coordination, and scalable access/reimbursement support.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years of Experience, or Master's Degree and Six Years of Experience, or Ph.D.

• Preferred BA/BS/RN with 8+ years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization focusing on field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or a related area.

• Preferred MA/MS/PharmD with 6+ years of experience within a major pharmaceutical organization in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or a similar role.

• Prior experience in leadership, enterprise account management, IDN/health system, or cross-functional account strategy is strongly preferred.

• Profound knowledge of payers, providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies regarding reimbursement and access.

• Experience in engaging and managing large, intricate provider accounts, multi-location health systems, IDNs, national/regional accounts, and/or accounts across multiple states or regions.

• Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, specialty payer landscapes, reimbursement pathways, and acquisition models across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer segments.

• Understanding of local, state, and national policy changes and their impact on reimbursement, coverage, acquisition, and account workflows.

• Experience partnering with specialty pharmacies and HUB services to enhance account-specific workflows and patient access processes.

• Ability to influence without formal authority, align matrixed stakeholders, and translate account-level barriers into scalable process improvements.

• Strong executive presence and the ability to engage effectively with C-suite or executive leadership, pharmacy directors, revenue cycle leaders, implementation leaders, and organizational stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time across designated regions and strategic accounts.

• In-person meetings with key stakeholders are essential for success.
