This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Provide field-based education on reimbursement and patient access to prominent HAE centers and the healthcare provider community.
• Act as the main point of contact for inquiries related to reimbursement and access.
• Work collaboratively with Regional Disease Account Managers, healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, payers, patients, and the HUB vendor partner.
• Deliver compliant education on reimbursement and access to designated accounts within the Minneapolis and Chicago regions.
• Engage cross-functionally with key partners and vendors to ensure a smooth experience for both patients and healthcare providers.
• Facilitate uninterrupted access for patients and providers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Function as a subject matter expert to proactively manage and resolve access and reimbursement challenges.
• Offer proactive education and solutions to address issues effectively.
• Inform patients and providers about options for affordability assistance, including copay support.
• Provide non-medical educational guidance on what to anticipate when starting therapy.
• Coordinate with patient support services, specialty pharmacies, the HUB vendor partner, and other field teams.
• Collaborate across various functions in a matrix environment to improve patient and provider experiences.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 8 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical sector, encompassing Pharmaceutical/Rare Disease Sales, Access & Reimbursement, Market Access, or similar fields.
• At least 3 years of experience specifically in Access and Reimbursement.
• Experience with rare disease reimbursement in the United States.
• Familiarity with working alongside third-party HUBs.
• A creative approach with the capability to address the needs of both internal and external clients.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy.
• A patient-focused mindset with a strong level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
• Preference for candidates with experience in a commercial-stage biotech company.
• Direct experience working with patients is highly preferred.
• Preferred experience in rare disease access for a commercially available product in the United States.
• Candidates should reside in or near Minneapolis, MN, or Chicago, IL.
