Senior Field Investigator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Perform investigations into suspected fraud and other unlawful activities against GEICO.

• Conduct interviews, execute database searches, gather statements, and identify information sources and witnesses.

• Assess information to evaluate its credibility.

• Refer and coordinate investigation tasks with external agencies.

• Provide training and assistance to departments involved in the claims management process.

• Manage investigative files and collect evidence to support fraud investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field, or five years of experience in insurance claims investigations, professional investigation experience with law enforcement agencies, or seven years of relevant professional investigation experience concerning economic or insurance matters.

• Proficient in handling in-person or phone interviews from various stakeholders in an investigation.

• Capability to gather evidence and formulate conclusions related to fraud investigations.

• Strong ability to organize and prioritize investigative tasks in high-pressure situations.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.

• Possess clear, concise, and professional written documentation skills.

• Capability to obtain and retain a valid driver’s license, certifications, and permits in compliance with regulations and company standards.

• Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment, including navigating steps.

• Proficient in climbing on, off, in, around, and underneath vehicles, including RVs and commercial vehicles.

• Exercise caution and awareness of surroundings while performing essential duties.

• Ability to understand and apply extensive technical and procedural information.

• Familiarity with city, state, and local regulations, legal concepts, case law, medical treatments, and medical terminology.

• Must reside in New York City, including the five boroughs or surrounding areas up to Nassau County, Long Island.
