
Senior Field Clinical Specialist – Mitral & Tricuspid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Provide daily clinical study support in the field, including technical and educational assistance, as well as site management for clinical programs related to Transcatheter Mitral Valve and Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve.
• Conduct on-site education and consulting sessions.
• Assist field personnel in achieving outcomes and delivering services for Medtronic customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement enrollment strategies.
• Engage in conventions, forums, and meetings to enhance product visibility.
• Offer customer case support and educational resources in collaboration with Therapy Development Management.
• Identify and promote growth opportunities alongside the Clinical Support Team.
• Act as a technical resource for designated medical products or solutions.
• Aid in clinical study procedures, including the preparation and assistance for Intrepid TMVR/TTVR devices.
• Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot devices and systems, and offer guidance on device suitability and patient selection.
• Support imaging techniques such as echocardiography, angiography, and CT.
• Collect and provide clinical-site feedback for engineering designs and product improvements.
• Foster and sustain customer relationships along with enrollment support for assigned sites.
• Build and maintain connections with investigators, research coordinators, OR/Cath Lab staff, nursing teams, decision-makers, and administrators.
• Serve as the primary contact during patient screening and enrollment, gathering necessary screening materials.
• Manage product shipping and returns between internal and external clients.
• Assist in creating physician training materials, procedure simulators, benchtop models, didactic sessions, case studies, and presentations.
• Train physicians and hospital staff on Medtronic products through one-on-one sessions, in-service training, seminars, and symposiums.
• Educate, mentor, and train Medtronic employees as required.
• High school diploma/degree with a minimum of 8 years of clinical support experience, or an associate degree with a minimum of 6 years of clinical support experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of clinical support experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical support experience.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including international travel and overnight accommodations.
• Valid driver's license and an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Capability to work in Cath Labs or Operating Rooms where radiation exposure is present.
• Flexibility to conduct company business outside the typical Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Proficiency in using computers and CT reconstruction software.
• Capacity for extensive travel by car and plane.
• Ability to sit and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Capability to wear a lead apron for extended periods.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a qualification that meets 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is essential.
• Preferred: More than 3 years of field experience in the Structural Heart industry.
• Preferred: Familiarity with echocardiographic imaging of the mitral and/or tricuspid valve.
• Preferred: Experience with CT segmentation and analysis software, such as 3Mensio.
• Preferred: Knowledge of trans-septal procedures, including TMVR or LAAC.
• Preferred: Background in clinical research, including the coordination of multi-center trials.
• Preferred: Experience in presenting, writing, and teaching clinical and medical information.
• Preferred: Experience with group presentations and interventional/surgical cardiac procedures.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and/or regulatory compliance guidelines.
• Preferred: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project or similar scheduling software, and project management techniques and tools.
