This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide innovative solutions for community planning, facilities planning, master planning, resilience planning, engagement and facilitation, partnership development, and various planning needs.
• Assist with federal planning requirements in collaboration with the Department of Defense.
• Potentially support planning needs for the National Park Service, FEMA, BLM, and other federal entities.
• Address requirements for state and local governments, private organizations, and non-governmental entities.
• Fulfill project requirements through research, analysis, writing, and creative methodologies.
• Contribute to federal project management and/or team leadership activities at a senior level.
• Engage with clients to foster partnerships.
• Adhere to established deadlines for project-related tasks.
• Travel to charrettes, workshops, meetings, and site visits as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, landscape architecture, geography, public policy, or related fields.
• Master’s degree is advantageous.
• AICP certification is a significant advantage.
• Other certifications in landscape architecture, LEED, Sustainable Sites, charrette facilitation, GIS, or related areas are beneficial.
• Mid-level candidates should have 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Senior-level candidates must possess 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of community planning processes.
• Excellent skills in research, analysis, and writing.
• Outstanding written, graphic, and verbal communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently in a flexible work environment.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, GIS, similar software tools, and/or hand renderings are a strong asset.
• Up to 15% travel may be required.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; completion of DHS Form I-9 and E-Verify verification is mandatory.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of the final employment offer.
• Must consent to background and credit checks if necessary to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Submission of a resume and GPA is required for consideration.
• Three professional and/or academic references, unofficial college transcripts, and a writing sample will eventually be required.
