Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in enhancing performance-driven maintenance contracts for roads and bridges

• Generate precise and comprehensive estimates for bids and proposals

• Collect data from locations, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators

• Collaborate with operators and conduct advanced analyses

• Provide options to leadership for informed decision-making

• Grasp project/program specifications and the performance-driven maintenance contracting model

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimations

• Conduct research on labor expenses, materials, production timelines, and related information

• Utilize software for data assessment, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting

• Acquire and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals and quotes

• Execute thorough risk assessments

• Develop and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership

• Foster relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers

• Present bids to company leadership during gate reviews

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a comparable role

• Familiarity with highway or structural asset maintenance is advantageous

• Extensive knowledge of financial and project management principles

• Profound understanding and experience in research and data analysis techniques and estimation formulas

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT skills with a strong analytical mindset

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.)

• Knowledge of the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills

• High integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential company information responsibly

• Capable of producing thorough, reliable, and actionable work products

• Strong organizational abilities

• Self-directed with the capacity to propose solutions and respond positively to constructive feedback

• Must be willing to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods

• Competence in presenting to executives
