Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive and precise estimates for bids and proposals.

• Collect information and firsthand data from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Collaborate with operators and conduct advanced analyses.

• Present options to leadership for informed decision-making.

• Comprehend the performance-based maintenance contracting business model and project requirements.

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimates.

• Research labor costs, materials, production times, and related data.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Acquire and assess subcontractor and vendor proposals and quotes.

• Conduct thorough risk analyses.

• Create and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership.

• Foster relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to Company Leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role.

• Experience with highway or structural asset maintenance is an advantage.

• Extensive knowledge of financial and project management principles.

• Proficient understanding and experience in research and data analysis methods, as well as estimation formulas.

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT skills, complemented by an analytical mindset.

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Knowledge of the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional and validated communication and negotiation skills.

• High integrity with the capability to handle sensitive and confidential company information responsibly.

• Ability to deliver thorough, reliable, and actionable work products.

• Outstanding organizational abilities.

• Capacity to work independently, propose solutions, and respond positively to constructive feedback.

• Must be available to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Proficient in presenting to executives.
