Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist in enhancing performance-driven maintenance contracts for roads and bridges.

• Create precise and comprehensive estimates for bids and proposals.

• Collect data from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Collaborate with operators to conduct advanced analyses.

• Provide options to leadership for informed decision-making.

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimations.

• Research labor costs, materials, and production timelines.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Acquire and assess subcontractor or vendor offers and quotes.

• Execute thorough risk analysis.

• Generate and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leaders.

• Foster relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to Company Leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role.

• Experience in highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial and project management principles.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in research, data analysis methods, and estimation formulas.

• Proven proficiency in advanced mathematics and IT, with a strong analytical mindset.

• Expert-level skills in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Familiarity with the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional and verified communication and negotiation skills.

• High integrity, capable of handling sensitive and confidential company information responsibly.

• Ability to produce work that is thorough, dependable, and actionable.

• Outstanding organizational abilities.

• Capacity to work independently, offer solutions, and respond constructively to feedback.

• Must be willing to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Capability to present to executives.
