Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive and precise estimates for bids and proposals.

• Collect data from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Collaborate with operators to conduct advanced analyses.

• Offer options to leadership for informed decision-making.

• Comprehend performance-based maintenance contracting business models and project specifications.

• Identify key variables for cost assessments and other estimates.

• Research labor costs, materials, production timelines, and related data.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Acquire and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals and quotes.

• Execute thorough risk assessments.

• Generate and submit estimate reports and bids to project managers and company executives.

• Cultivate relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to company leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role.

• Experience in highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous.

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial and project management principles.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in research, data analysis methods, and estimation formulas.

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT skills with a strong analytical mindset.

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Understanding of the effective use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills.

• High level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential company information responsibly.

• Capability to produce work products that are thorough, reliable, and actionable.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently, provide solutions, and respond constructively to feedback.

• Must be willing to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Ability to present to executive leadership.
