Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Grasp the principles of performance-based maintenance contracting business models

• Comprehend the project/program along with its specific requirements

• Identify key variables essential for cost and other estimations

• Collect firsthand information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators

• Conduct research to gather data on labor costs, materials, production timelines, etc.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting

• Obtain and assess offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors

• Carry out comprehensive risk analysis

• Develop and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers, company leadership, and other relevant individuals

• Cultivate relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers

• Present bids to Company Leadership during gate reviews

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role

• Familiarity with highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous

• Thorough understanding of financial and project management principles

• Extensive knowledge and experience in research and data analysis methods as well as estimation formulas

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT skills with a strong analytical mindset

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.)

• Knowledge of the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills

• High level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential company information responsibly

• Capability to produce work that is thorough, reliable, and executable

• Outstanding organizational abilities

• Self-directed with the capacity to provide solutions and respond constructively to feedback

• Must be willing to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods

• Ability to present information to executives
