Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive and precise estimates for bids and proposals.

• Collect information and collaborate with operators.

• Conduct advanced analyses.

• Provide options to leadership for informed decision-making.

• Comprehend the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.

• Grasp project/program requirements.

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimates.

• Gather firsthand information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Investigate labor costs, materials, production times, and related data.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Acquire and assess offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.

• Execute detailed risk analyses.

• Generate and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership.

• Foster relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to company leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience as an estimator or in a comparable role.

• Experience in highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous.

• Profound understanding of financial and project management principles.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in research, data analysis methods, and estimation formulas.

• Proven proficiency in advanced mathematics and IT with a strong analytical mindset.

• Expert-level skills in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Awareness of the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills.

• High level of integrity with the capability to handle sensitive and confidential company information responsibly.

• Ability to produce work that is thorough, dependable, and actionable.

• Excellent organizational capabilities.

• Self-directed with the ability to propose solutions and respond positively to constructive feedback.

• Must be available to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Capability to present to executives.
