Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Comprehend the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.

• Grasp the project/program along with its specific requirements.

• Identify key variables for cost estimation and other assessments.

• Collect firsthand information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Conduct research to gather data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Acquire and evaluate offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.

• Undertake comprehensive risk analysis.

• Prepare and present estimate reports and/or bids to project managers, company leadership, and other relevant parties.

• Foster relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to Company Leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role.

• Experience with highway or infrastructure asset maintenance is advantageous.

• Profound knowledge of financial and project management principles.

• Extensive understanding and experience with research, data analysis methods, and estimation formulas.

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT skills complemented by a strong analytical mindset.

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software, such as Excel, Power BI, etc.

• Familiarity with the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills.

• High level of integrity, capable of being entrusted with sensitive and confidential company information.

• Ability to produce thorough, reliable, and actionable work products.

• Excellent organizational capabilities.

• Self-directed with the ability to provide solutions and respond appropriately to constructive feedback.

• Availability to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Capability to present information to executives.
