Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Grasp the fundamentals of the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.

• Comprehend the project/program and its specific requirements.

• Identify critical variables for cost estimates and other assessments.

• Collect firsthand information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Conduct research to gather data on labor costs, materials, production timelines, and more.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting purposes.

• Acquire and evaluate offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.

• Execute comprehensive risk analysis.

• Develop and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership.

• Cultivate relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to Company Leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a comparable role.

• Experience in highway or structures asset maintenance is an advantage.

• Extensive knowledge of financial and project management principles.

• Profound understanding and experience in research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT skills paired with a strong analytical mindset.

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Knowledge of the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills.

• High integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential company information responsibly.

• Capability to produce thorough, reliable, and actionable work products.

• Excellent organizational abilities.

• Self-directed with the capacity to propose solutions and respond positively to constructive feedback.

• Availability to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Proficient in presenting to executives.
