Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive and precise estimates for proposals and bids.

• Collect data from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Collaborate with operators and conduct advanced analytical assessments.

• Provide leadership with options for decision-making.

• Grasp the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.

• Comprehend project and program requirements.

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimates.

• Perform research on labor costs, materials, production timelines, and related information.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Gather and assess offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments.

• Prepare and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership.

• Develop relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to company leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role.

• Experience in highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial and project management principles.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.

• Proven proficiency in advanced mathematics and IT, with a strong analytical mindset.

• Expert-level skills in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Familiarity with the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

• High integrity with the capability to handle sensitive and confidential company information trustworthily.

• Ability to produce thorough, reliable, and actionable work products.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Capacity to work independently, propose solutions, and respond positively to constructive feedback.

• Must be available to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Capability to present information to executives.
