Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Comprehend the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.

• Grasp project/program requirements effectively.

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimations.

• Collect firsthand information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Investigate labor costs, materials, production times, and additional data.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting purposes.

• Acquire and evaluate subcontractor and vendor offers and quotes.

• Conduct thorough risk analysis.

• Prepare and present estimate reports and bids to project managers and company leadership.

• Foster relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to company leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role.

• Experience in highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous.

• Extensive knowledge of financial and project management principles.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in research, data analysis methods, and estimation formulas.

• Advanced mathematical and IT skills with a strong analytical mindset.

• Expert-level proficiency in relevant software, including Excel and Power BI.

• Familiarity with the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

• High integrity and capability to manage sensitive and confidential company information.

• Ability to produce thorough, reliable, and actionable work products.

• Excellent organizational abilities.

• Capacity to be self-directed, provide solutions, and respond positively to constructive feedback.

• Willingness to work non-standard hours during peak activity periods.

• Competence in presenting to executives.
