Senior Estimator, Highway Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Prepare comprehensive and precise estimates for bids and proposals.

• Collect information from job sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.

• Collaborate with operators and carry out advanced analyses.

• Present options to leadership for informed decision-making.

• Gain a thorough understanding of the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.

• Comprehend project/program requirements effectively.

• Identify key variables for cost and other estimations.

• Conduct research on labor costs, materials, production timelines, and related information.

• Utilize software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting purposes.

• Acquire and review offers and quotes from subcontractors and vendors.

• Conduct thorough risk analysis.

• Generate and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership.

• Foster relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.

• Present bids to Company Leadership during gate reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a similar role.

• Experience in highway or structures asset maintenance is advantageous.

• Extensive knowledge of financial and project management principles.

• In-depth understanding and experience with research and data analysis methods and estimation techniques.

• Proven advanced mathematical and IT capabilities coupled with an analytical mindset.

• Expert proficiency in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Knowledge of the appropriate use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Exceptional and proven communication and negotiation skills.

• High integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential company information responsibly.

• Capable of producing thorough, reliable, and executable work products.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently, provide solutions, and respond constructively to feedback.

• Must be willing to work irregular hours during peak activity periods.

• Ability to present information to executives effectively.
