Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the estimation and proposal process, which includes cost analysis, coordinating estimates, and developing and reviewing trade takeoffs along with internal pricing.

• Supervise all capital bids prior to their submission.

• Assign new customer opportunities within the estimating team.

• Assess subcontractor cost estimates and proposals.

• Prepare and review self-performed estimates and compile final estimates for owners.

• Drive and manage National Opportunities Reporting.

• Conduct productivity analysis of cost estimates by comparing scope, quantities, and cost data across projects.

• Negotiate with and solicit bids from subcontractors during the bidding phase.

• Maintain a master list of subcontractors and vendors categorized by trade.

• Compare and evaluate competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

• Provide exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.

• Uphold company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors in a high-volume bidding environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in the primary responsibilities outlined above.

• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and estimating software.

• Proven experience with heavy civil construction projects, particularly in water/wastewater treatment plants and process piping.

• Ability to cultivate and sustain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, and clients.

• Outstanding time management and customer relations capabilities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to assist in drafting proposals and reports.
