Senior Estimator, Heavy Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the process for estimates and proposals, encompassing cost analysis, coordination of estimates, and the development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing.

• Supervise all capital bids prior to submission.

• Assign new customer opportunities to the estimating team.

• Assess subcontract cost estimates and proposals.

• Prepare and evaluate self-perform estimates, compiling final estimates for owners.

• Drive and sustain National Opportunities Reporting.

• Conduct productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparing scope, quantities, and cost data across projects.

• Engage in subcontract negotiation and solicitation during the bidding process.

• Maintain a comprehensive master list of subcontractors and vendors by trade.

• Analyze and compare bids from competitive subcontractors and suppliers.

• Uphold company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors in a high-volume bidding environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 5–7 years of experience executing the primary responsibilities listed.

• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and estimating software.

• Proven experience with heavy civil construction projects, particularly in water/wastewater treatment plants and process piping.

• Capability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, and clients.

• Outstanding time management and customer relation abilities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Competence in assisting with the writing of proposals and reports.
