Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the estimation and proposal processes, which include cost analysis, coordination of estimates, and the development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing.

• Supervise all capital bids prior to their submission.

• Assign new customer opportunities within the estimating team.

• Assess subcontractor cost estimates and proposals.

• Prepare and evaluate self-performed estimates, compiling final estimates for clients.

• Drive and manage National Opportunities Reporting.

• Conduct productivity analyses of cost estimates, comparing scope, quantities, and cost data across projects.

• Negotiate and engage in subcontractor solicitation during the bidding process.

• Maintain master lists of subcontractors and vendors categorized by trade.

• Analyze and compare competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

• Provide outstanding customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insights.

• Uphold company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors in a high-volume bidding environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience executing the primary responsibilities outlined.

• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and estimating software.

• Proven experience with heavy civil construction projects, particularly in water/wastewater treatment plants and process piping.

• Capability to cultivate and sustain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, and clients.

• Exceptional time management and customer relations skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to assist in the preparation of proposals and reports.
