Senior Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to create cost estimates for significant facility, transit, and infrastructure projects throughout all design phases.

• Offer technical guidance to team members and clients regarding project constructability, logistics, phasing, and alternative approaches.

• Conduct value engineering assessments during each design phase.

• Generate conceptual estimates, order-of-magnitude budgets, evaluate change orders, review estimates, and provide Opinions of Probable Construction Costs (OPCCs).

• Leverage company and industry historical data for accurate costing estimates.

• Analyze and report on the adequacy of estimates provided by third parties.

• Examine current and anticipated economic impacts on projects.

• Work together with project schedulers to synchronize project timelines with estimates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive estimating experience (10+ years), ideally in construction management or general construction.

• Background in heavy construction encompassing sitework, deep foundations, excavation supports, site utilities, concrete, and steel construction.

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience.

• Readiness to occasionally travel to projects across the United States and Canada.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Project.

• Experience in mechanical and/or electrical estimating is advantageous.

• Previous involvement in water/wastewater projects is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Bluebeam, spreadsheets, and Sage estimating software is a plus.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
