This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Perform business and systems analysis to comprehend business requirements and establish system specifications.
• Collect, examine, and document both functional and technical needs.
• Record current and future-state workflows and processes.
• Convert business requirements into efficient Epic solutions in collaboration with users and stakeholders.
• Design, construct, test, implement, and provide support for Epic Payer Platform applications.
• Set up Epic environments to facilitate standardized and thorough workflows.
• Engage in implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and continuous application support.
• Assess new Epic functionalities and technologies and suggest improvements.
• Analyze workflows to pinpoint optimization opportunities.
• Review user experience and propose enterprise-level solutions.
• Create and maintain workflow documentation.
• Collaborate with end users to explore and resolve intricate system issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions.
• Address application and workflow challenges.
• Offer ongoing support and maintenance for the application/environment.
• Implement approved modifications within Epic environments.
• Uphold application functionality and standardized workflows.
• Investigate new functionalities and evaluate their impact on existing processes.
• Independently manage and contribute to medium- to large-scale Epic projects.
• Coordinate project tasks and deliverables.
• Update stakeholders on project status, risks, issues, and timelines.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and healthcare stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the ongoing enhancement of Epic applications and healthcare workflows.
• Employ critical thinking and analytical skills for complex tasks.
• Visualize, articulate, and address intricate business and technical challenges.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• 5–7+ years of experience in systems administration/application work in one or more Epic modules.
• Epic Application Certification or Accreditation is mandatory.
• Proficiency in system analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support is essential.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities are necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills are required.
• Strong customer service and end-user support abilities are essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are needed.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are necessary.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills are required.
• Familiarity with project management principles is preferred.
• Ability to work independently on complex tasks is crucial.
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare sector, preferably in the insurance/payer field, may substitute for a degree.
• Epic certification in one or more Payer Platform modules, such as Epic Payer Platform Core, Epic Payer Platform Member Experience, or Epic Tapestry is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting Epic Payer Platform solutions in a healthcare setting is required.
• Experience with healthcare insurance/payer workflows is highly desirable.
• Experience in supporting enterprise-level Epic implementations and optimization initiatives is beneficial.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Long-term contract lasting 12 months.
