Senior EPC Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee high-performing engineering teams on extensive utility transmission, substation, and other intricate EPC or progressive-model projects.

• Direct project managers in delivering thorough engineering design projects for electric utility clients.

• Take ownership of overall portfolio performance, encompassing cost, schedule, and scope management.

• Propel PMO strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and operational efficiencies.

• Act as Capture Manager for significant new business prospects and prepare major proposals, estimates, and bidding documents.

• Mentor and nurture project management personnel.

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, report on progress, and mitigate risks.

• Oversee monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable activities.

• Identify and seek out business development opportunities.

• Ensure adherence to contract stipulations and quality control standards.

• Maintain regular communication with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support staff.

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Travel locally and nationally as necessary (approximately 20–25%).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive Project Management experience within the electric power/electric utility sector.

• Proven experience and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and electric utility infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of high voltage substation and transmission engineering is highly preferred.

• Experience in working with EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) Contracts is highly preferred.

• Direct experience with project financials, bid proposals, and cost estimates.

• Direct experience in portfolio management, contract management, and risk mitigation.

• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6) and the MS Office Suite.

• Strong leadership abilities with an emphasis on portfolio management and team development.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to travel periodically as required (approximately 20%).

• Candidates must reside in the United States.

• US Citizenship is required.

• PMP Certification or a willingness to obtain it within two years.

• Previous experience in a consulting role for US-based electric utilities.

• Prior experience in a leadership capacity.

• Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams.

• Previous experience in a consulting environment.

• Familiarity with PowerBI and/or visualization tools.
