
Senior Environmental, Remedial Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +2 more countries.
• Oversee project management for a segment of GE Vernova’s remedial project portfolio.
• Direct investigations and remediation by managing external consultants and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate the execution of remedial projects from the initial risk assessment and planning stages through to final completion.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and budget limits.
• Manage the technical delivery, timelines, financial aspects, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and coordination within the project team.
• Offer technical assistance for environmental risk initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and restructuring efforts.
• Collaborate with teams across Environmental & Properties Risk, real estate, sourcing, special projects, strategy, finance, legal, EHS, governmental affairs, communications, operations, and facilities.
• Deliver strategic oversight, direction, progress reports, and financial updates to management.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in environmental science, geology, engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Proven, substantial experience in project management within environmental sectors, remediation, environmental transactions, and/or EHS.
• Background in managing intricate remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and soil vapor challenges, including PCBs, hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents; or experience in providing environmental transactional support for real estate and/or M&A transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of ASTM standards and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Experience in preparing or utilizing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to evaluate risks.
• Skilled in coordinating environmental due diligence for multiple, concurrent, large, and/or complex transactions.
• Awareness of legal requirements, the regulatory landscape, environmental risk, reputational issues, and local concerns.
• Capability to provide strategic oversight, direction, communication, planning, progress, and financial updates to management.
• Proficient in managing and coordinating consultant teams to generate cost estimates, scopes of work, proposals, and reports.
• Experience in preparing financial forecasts and planning for long-term projects.
• Familiarity with environmental issues related to both historical and current manufacturing and energy operations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven collaboration skills within diverse teams.
• Ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Demonstrated success in coordinating technical, financial, reputational, and legal aspects for complex projects.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Experience working cross-culturally in large, matrixed organizations.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately 30% of the time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in English and business fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
• A graduate degree, a highly collaborative approach, creative problem-solving skills, multitasking abilities, additional language proficiency, and familiarity with LEAN principles are qualities that will make the candidate stand out.
