This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee the compilation of environmental assessment reports, including Environmental Reports and Environmental Impact Statements, in support of nuclear projects.

• Develop, oversee, and manage staff and projects executed by direct reports.

• Execute and manage projects according to defined scope, schedule, and budget using AECOM's project management systems and software.

• Complete AECOM’s internal Project Management certification program within the initial 2 years.

• Coordinate, manage, and direct field and data collection activities for projects.

• Create and present business strategies, tactics, proposals, interdisciplinary teams, documents, and reports.

• Engage with clients and regulatory personnel on intricate projects and business development efforts.

• Uphold high standards of work quality and Health & Safety practices within the team.

• Offer technical support to the EPP Department and Project Managers.

• Assist in interdisciplinary business development initiatives.

• Collaborate with AECOM offices, practices, and business lines.

• Mentor junior and mid-level staff members.

• Conduct client visits and fieldwork outside the office, including overnight travel.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, or a related earth science field.

• 10 years of experience or equivalent education and experience in the preparation of environmental assessment reports in compliance with NEPA.

• 2 years of leadership experience.

• 5 years of experience in collaboration with a nuclear utility, nuclear fuel cycle facility, or nuclear industry contractor involved in licensing actions.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

• US Citizenship is required.

• Must be willing to travel.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in the nuclear utility, nuclear fuel cycle facility, or nuclear industry contractor setting is preferred.

• Experience in leading teams executing environmental studies, environmental permitting support, and related assessments/analyses.

• Familiarity with regulator and stakeholder engagement.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.

• Experience in managing teams and scheduling staff and resources for timely and budget-compliant delivery.

• PMP or other project management certification is preferred.

• Active involvement in relevant industry organizations is preferred.

• Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding session at an AECOM office.
