Senior Enterprise Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance enterprise strategy, target-state architectures, and 3–5-year modernization roadmaps across applications, data/analytics, integration/API, cloud/platform, and business architecture.

• Convert functional and business strategies into actionable operational architecture plans for ERP, CRM, PLM, MES, Contract Lifecycle Management, Customer Data Platform, and associated systems.

• Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives that align with the long-term technological direction of the enterprise.

• Establish and implement enterprise architecture methodologies, standards, and design patterns.

• Participate in Architecture Review Board governance to oversee technology selection, API standards, cloud patterns, domain models, and compliance.

• Advocate for API-first, event-driven, and cloud-native architecture patterns while defining secure, scalable, and high-throughput integration frameworks.

• Assist in the development of enterprise data architecture, ontologies, semantic models, knowledge graphs, and standardized data structures.

• Provide mentorship to architects and spearhead communities of practice.

• Promote product-centric and platform-engineering operating models.

• Address complex enterprise-wide architecture challenges through thorough investigation, root-cause analysis, and tradeoff assessment.

• Update and counsel executive leadership on architecture decisions, investments, risks, standards, and transformation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems, along with 10+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years as a senior solution architect or enterprise architect; OR an advanced degree with 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 6 years in architecture leadership.

• Proven experience in developing long-term enterprise architecture roadmaps and managing extensive digital transformation programs.

• Familiarity with digital engineering concepts such as MBSE, MBD, MBDMI, model-based services, and MRO.

• Experience in executing global architecture processes, governance, and standards.

• In-depth knowledge of modern architecture frameworks, cloud-native designs, and product-aligned delivery and operating models.

• Significant expertise in API governance, integration design patterns, and enterprise interoperability.

• Capability to provide strategic technical leadership and influence in a virtual environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient command of English for daily technical documentation and communication with customers, suppliers, and international colleagues.

• A criminal background check and relevant controlled-goods clearances are mandatory.

• Preferred: effectiveness in complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environments; strong relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, Agile, API strategy/governance, and customer service skills.
